2012 was a lot of things for me. It was a year of fears and
failures, and of love and victories. I grew a LOT in 2012, in the last
part of it in particular. I learned things about myself and about life
that completely reshaped my thinking and also reminded me of the truths
I’ve always believed but never really understood. This year was a year
of firsts for me, but also a year of lasts. As terrible, scary and
frustrating as it was at times, and as much as I wish I could go back
and either change a few directions or relive certain memories, I am
ready to let go of 2012 and grab hold of 2013 and hang on tight. I feel
like I ended 2012 going in the right direction and I’m excited to see
what 2013 has in store for me. No matter how it ends up, I know it will
be full of new experiences, great opportunities, major life changes and
crazy adventures. I’m stoked and I’m ready.
As for Cozmic KillJoy, 2012 felt like it started to pick up and grow
rapidly but then hit a bump and has been on pause for a good 6 months
now. I believe most of that has to do with the fact that I became a
waitress to make more of the money I needed to survive that CK was
nowhere near fulfilling.
HOWEVER, I really do have a bunch of things planned and dreamed for
this thing and even though it may not seem like it right now, I am
always working on exciting new and different things to offer you. I have
a lot going on in my life but I have not given up on this dream and I
don’t ever plan to.
Here are a few things to look forward to from Cozmic KillJoy in 2013:
~More screen printed handmade pieces
~More vintage items
~Custom tops and bottoms
~More punked out vests and jackets
~More handmade necklaces [like the dream catcher necklaces I started CK with] and accessories
~Special edition items to support a few specific charities [like local animal shelters, food drives and relief funds]
I’m finally learning to balance my work, home life, love life, church
life and dreams better and I know all these things are totally possible
and ready to happen this year. 2012 was my year and 2013 will be my
year in an even bigger way. I have absolutely no doubt about that.
Bring it on.
